Paul Lambert was announced as Aston Villa manager yesterday. He is a replacement for Villa old manager Alex  Mcleish. I hope that Lambert can bring some of his enthusiasm that took Norwich to 11th in the table.

Rodgers appointed as Liverpool manager

Brendan Rodgers was today revealed as Liverpool's manager after Kenny Dagleish was sacked. This appointment is risky if I had to comment because Rodgers doesn't have any experience of being a manager at a top club and the pressure that comes with it.

Chelsea win their first Champions League

Chelsea managed to win their first Champions League in history in a close fought match against Bayern Munich.Bayern had most of the Possession in the game and had the best chance this Possession lead to the first goal of the game through a header by the German striker Thomas Muller on the 83rd minute but they couldn't hold on just five minutes later their hitman Dider Drogba scored from a Juan Mata corner the game at full time finished 1-1. So the game went to Extra time and Drogba turned hero to villain when he brought down Frank Ribery in the box to earn Bayer a penalty but they couldn't exploit this chance when former Chelsea player Arjen Robben missed the penalty which was saved by Petr Cech. The game went into Penalties where Chelsea won through who else but Drogba again. The funniest thing is that this could be Drogba last ever game for Chelsea. I'm sure the happiest Chelsea fan is their owner Roman Abramovic who has longed to win this trophy since taking over.

Chelsea v Bayern

The Champions league final will be played tonight between Chelsea and Bayern Munich. Both teams were underdogs to be in this final beating Barcelona and Real Madrid respectfully. Chelsea are very confident coming into the game after their dramatic turn in form since Roberto Di Matteo took over after Andre Villas Boas was sacked but i personally think that Bayern are still Favorites for the cup because firstly Chelsea are without a lot of their first team players such as John Terry, Ramires and Raul Meireles also Bayern are playing at their home ground the Allianz Arena.

West Ham win Play Off

West ham grabbed the last place in the Premiership by beating Blackpool 2-1 in the play off final. There were goals from Carlton Cole in the first half for West Ham which was then made even by Tom Ince, son of Paul Ince formerly of Manchester United, in the second half. West Ham went on to win the game though from a 87th minute winner from January signing Ricardo Vaz Ta.

Play Off Final

The Championship Play Off Final between West Ham and Blackpool will be played today at Wembley, the winner of this game will be the third team gaining promotion into the Premier League this season with Reading and Southampton. The game is valued at 90million. I personally think that both teams will add a lot to the premier league and i think both teams can take confidence that they can both stay up looking at the success of Swansea, Norwich and QPR this season.

Solskjaer in talks with Villa

File:Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Trondheim2011-1.jpg
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has today started talks with Aston Villa after Alex Mcleish was sacked on Monday. I would be happy if Villa could lure him to Villa Park because he has a lot of enthusiasm as a manager and has previous success with Molde getting them into the Champions League.

Dagleish Sacked from Liverpool

Kenny Dagleish today has been told that his contract at Liverpool football club has been terminated this is the second Manager sacked in the space of three days. I can personally see why Dagleish has been sacked because since returning to the club after leading them to great successes in the 1980`s. Since he has returned he has spend over 100 million on players who haven't performed this season finishing eight in the league behind there arch rivals Everton. The favorite candidate for the job is Wigan`s  Roberto Martinez.

Mcleish Sacked!!!!

Alex Mcleish was eventually sacked yesterday after Aston Villa had one of the worst Premier League season in history Villa finished 16th in the table and never looked like finishing any higher. Hopefully now Villa can get a young interested manager who doesn't  play for a 0-0 draw. Since losing Friedel, Barry, Milner, Downing and Young we have never replaced them with good player and that will hold us back,  in the summer I would personally like Villa to sign: Grant Holt, James Milner, Gary Hopper, Ryan Shawcross, Tom Huddlestone, Jamie O`hara and Tom Ince. These players will add new life into a poor lackluster Villa squad.

City clinch title in dramatic style

1 Minute into stoppage time in the Man City, QPR match every City fan thought the unthinkable was going to happen they were going to lose the league title. 2-1 down with united already having won against Sunderland, City needed 2 goals in 4 minutes but somehow City turned this dreadful position around first Edin Dzeko from a corner and then Sergio Aguero from inside the Penalty box. I personally think it was the best final day of any Premier League season in history. Also Bolton were relegated from the Premier League with Blackburn and Wolves drawing 2-2 against Stoke at the Britannia Stadium. Arsenal secured 3rd place which sees them into the Champions League. Spurs will also qualify if Chelsea lose to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final next week.

The town are going up!!!

Shrewsbury town today gained promotion from league 2 with a 1-0 victory over Dagenham and Redbridge. The victory was seen by the highest ever attendance at the Greenhouse meadow of 9,411. This season has been amazing with Shrewsbury not losing at home all season.

Barca v Chelsea

The only Champions League game tonight is the semi-final between Barcelona and Chelsea. Chelsea take a one goal advantage into this game through a goal from Didier Drogba. Tonight game will be even tougher on Chelsea because the nou camp pitch is incredibly large so it helps Barca`s passing play.

Villa v Bolton

The only Premier league game tonight is Aston Villa v Bolton this game could realistically keep Villa in the Premier League. It could also worsen Bolton situation at the bottom of the league.

Shrewsbury close to promotion

Shrewsbury took another step of clinching promotion from league 2 with a win against our local rivals Port Vale. The only goal of the game came from Matt Richards shot which was badly saved by the Port Vale goal keeper who could just steer the ball into his own net. Shrewsbury are now 4 points clear of Crawley and Torquay who lye in 3rd and 4th place.

Petrov diagnosed with acute leukemia

Fabrice Muamba thanks fans for support
Fabrice Muamba in his hospital bed
Aston Villa captain Stylian Petrov has been diagnosed with acute leukemia. This news came on Friday, a minutes applause was felt at villa park on Saturday against Chelsea after 19 minutes the number that Petrov wears. Petrov attended the game and was very overwhelmed by the support has revived since the news broke. This comes days after Fabrice Muamba was pictured sitting up in his hospital bed after he collapsed against Spurs in the FA Cup match held a couple of weeks ago. I would like to wish Petrov a quick recovery in his fight against leukemia.

Muamba still in critical condition

Fabrice Muamba
Fabrice Muamba is still in a critical condition today after collapsing yesterday in the Spurs v Bolton FA Cup match. He collapsed in the 41st minute yesterday suddenly. This is a horrific thing to happen in a football match and it is very rare. I would like to wish Muamba the best in his fight for his life today.

Villa sign Holman

Aston Villa today have signed Brett Holman from AZ Alkmaar on a free agent at the end of the season. Holman who has played for Australia 53 in the past is a midfielder who plays out wide or up front. This signing seems to have pleased Villa fans summing him up as BETTER THAN HESKEY!! this obviously proves that he is a good player and will bring a lot to Villa next season.

Results so far today

Man Utd 2-0 West Brom
Swansea 1-0 Man City
They two results change the top of the Premier league completely firstly it moves Man Utd to top of the table breaking city`s hold there for most of the season. I`m personally thought Man City were going to walk this seasons Premier league but it seems that United have found there form at the right time and City seem to be slipping but you have to give credit to Swansea this season everybody fought that they were defiantly getting relegated this season but they have been near that zone through out this season.

Results of the England best player Poll

Joe hart won the poll with 66% of the votes in front of Scott Parker, Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard

Great day for my clubs

Today results for my two teams Aston Villa and Shrewsbury both went amazing first to Villa who scored a 92 minute goal to beat Fullham scored by Wienman. This win moves up to 14th and separates us from the bottom three. Shrewsbury also beat Burton to move up to 2nd in the table behind Swindon town. Shrewsbury goal scorer was our captain Ian Sharps who scored a header of a Mark Wright corner. Town deserved the win dominating the second half.

Games today!!!!!

Aston Villa v Fullham
Bolton v QPR
Chelsea v Stoke
Sunderland v Liverpool
Wolves v Blackburn
Everton v Spurs

Big game for Aston villa We need to win this game to start pulling away from the bottom three.
Also my local team Shrewsbury are playing Burton.

Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi
Last night when watching Barcelona. I think Lionel Messi showed any person who the best football in the world. Messi is something out of this world. He set a brand new record scoring 5 goals in one game which is unheard of in the Champions league. This season alone he has scored 48 goals. I really can`t think of any other player like him he doesn't just stand on the edge of the box and just tap the ball in, he works for the team non stop and sets up a lot of Barcelona attacks. The only area I think he has to improve his game is for his country Argentina and I really don't now why that is but maybe soon we will see his form for Barcelona for Argentina then I think no one can complain he is one of the best footballers that have ever live if not the best.

The main game on my attention is my local team Shrewsbury v Oxford this is a big game for Shrewsbury which could move us into the top three in League two.

Fullham thrash Wolves

Hat trick hero Pogrebnyak
Fullham beat Wolves 5-0 to day thanks to a hat trick from there new signing Pavel Pogrebnyak since joining Fullham from Stuttgart so far in three games he has scored five goals. The other two goals came from Fullham`s goal machine Clint Dempsey who scored a brace. This win moves Fullham up to 8th in the table and drops Wolves under new manager Terry Connor into the bottom three.

Is it time for Mcleish to leave Villa

Alex Mcleish
I personally think it is time that Aston Villa sacked Alex Mcleish. So far this season Aston Villa have looked poor, lackluster and generally rubbish and I think some of the blame has to be pointed towards our manager Alex Mcleish. Two years ago we were in the Fa cup semi-final, the Carling cup final and challenging for a top four place this year we have been horrendous at home and are 15th in the table.Mcleish doesn't look like he encourages the players at all, well if he does the performances don`t look like it any way. Villa seem to be looking behind instead of looking ahead this season and over the last couple of years it was never like that. I`m sure the villa fans agree with me that Alex Mcleish needs to go.

Newcastle v Sunderland finishes with a draw

The tyne wear derby between Newcastle and Sunderland finish with a 1-1 draw.
Shola Ameobi scored in the 90th minute to equal the Game for Newcastle after Nickolas Bendtner put Sunderland ahead through a penalty. The other main incidents in the game was Stephane Sessegnon and Lee Cattermoles`s sending of in the second half.

Villas Boas sacked as Chelsea manager

Jose Mourinho
Andre Villas Boas has been sacked by Chelsea. This doesn't come as a shock to me as Chelsea have only three games out of there last twelve and for Chelsea usual form that pretty horrendous. Chelsea are currently in 5th place in the premier league behind Man City, Man united , Spurs and Arsenal. AVB has been in charge of Chelsea for under a year after previously being in charge at Porto leading them to Europa league glory. Now comes the question of the next manager there are rumors that Jose Mourinho doesn't like it a Real Madrid and he wants to come back to England could this be the move for him i`m sure every Chelsea fan would want him back and I personally think it would be great for the premier league.

What has happened to Aston Villa this season?

AVFC
As a loyal supporter of Aston Villa it upsets me to see how poorly we are playing this season, now with Bent and Dunne out for the rest of the season i can only see Villa going one direction and that is backwards.

Are Shrewsbury town going to get promoted this year?

STFC
I personally think that Shrewsbury town are in the best possible position to get promoted this year. There are lots of good teams around us in the table at the moment such as Swindon Town, Crawley Town and Cheltenham Town.
