Chelsea win their first Champions League

Chelsea managed to win their first Champions League in history in a close fought match against Bayern Munich.Bayern had most of the Possession in the game and had the best chance this Possession lead to the first goal of the game through a header by the German striker Thomas Muller on the 83rd minute but they couldn't hold on just five minutes later their hitman Dider Drogba scored from a Juan Mata corner the game at full time finished 1-1. So the game went to Extra time and Drogba turned hero to villain when he brought down Frank Ribery in the box to earn Bayer a penalty but they couldn't exploit this chance when former Chelsea player Arjen Robben missed the penalty which was saved by Petr Cech. The game went into Penalties where Chelsea won through who else but Drogba again. The funniest thing is that this could be Drogba last ever game for Chelsea. I'm sure the happiest Chelsea fan is their owner Roman Abramovic who has longed to win this trophy since taking over.

Chelsea v Bayern

The Champions league final will be played tonight between Chelsea and Bayern Munich. Both teams were underdogs to be in this final beating Barcelona and Real Madrid respectfully. Chelsea are very confident coming into the game after their dramatic turn in form since Roberto Di Matteo took over after Andre Villas Boas was sacked but i personally think that Bayern are still Favorites for the cup because firstly Chelsea are without a lot of their first team players such as John Terry, Ramires and Raul Meireles also Bayern are playing at their home ground the Allianz Arena.

West Ham win Play Off

West ham grabbed the last place in the Premiership by beating Blackpool 2-1 in the play off final. There were goals from Carlton Cole in the first half for West Ham which was then made even by Tom Ince, son of Paul Ince formerly of Manchester United, in the second half. West Ham went on to win the game though from a 87th minute winner from January signing Ricardo Vaz Ta.

Play Off Final

The Championship Play Off Final between West Ham and Blackpool will be played today at Wembley, the winner of this game will be the third team gaining promotion into the Premier League this season with Reading and Southampton. The game is valued at 90million. I personally think that both teams will add a lot to the premier league and i think both teams can take confidence that they can both stay up looking at the success of Swansea, Norwich and QPR this season.

Solskjaer in talks with Villa

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has today started talks with Aston Villa after Alex Mcleish was sacked on Monday. I would be happy if Villa could lure him to Villa Park because he has a lot of enthusiasm as a manager and has previous success with Molde getting them into the Champions League.

Dagleish Sacked from Liverpool

Kenny Dagleish today has been told that his contract at Liverpool football club has been terminated this is the second Manager sacked in the space of three days. I can personally see why Dagleish has been sacked because since returning to the club after leading them to great successes in the 1980`s. Since he has returned he has spend over 100 million on players who haven't performed this season finishing eight in the league behind there arch rivals Everton. The favorite candidate for the job is Wigan`s  Roberto Martinez.

Mcleish Sacked!!!!

Alex Mcleish was eventually sacked yesterday after Aston Villa had one of the worst Premier League season in history Villa finished 16th in the table and never looked like finishing any higher. Hopefully now Villa can get a young interested manager who doesn't  play for a 0-0 draw. Since losing Friedel, Barry, Milner, Downing and Young we have never replaced them with good player and that will hold us back,  in the summer I would personally like Villa to sign: Grant Holt, James Milner, Gary Hopper, Ryan Shawcross, Tom Huddlestone, Jamie O`hara and Tom Ince. These players will add new life into a poor lackluster Villa squad.

City clinch title in dramatic style

1 Minute into stoppage time in the Man City, QPR match every City fan thought the unthinkable was going to happen they were going to lose the league title. 2-1 down with united already having won against Sunderland, City needed 2 goals in 4 minutes but somehow City turned this dreadful position around first Edin Dzeko from a corner and then Sergio Aguero from inside the Penalty box. I personally think it was the best final day of any Premier League season in history. Also Bolton were relegated from the Premier League with Blackburn and Wolves drawing 2-2 against Stoke at the Britannia Stadium. Arsenal secured 3rd place which sees them into the Champions League. Spurs will also qualify if Chelsea lose to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final next week.
